I have run a few half marathons before, but it has been a few years since my last, and I am now in a much unfitter condition. I lost my friend and fellow teacher at the young age of 39, due to Graves Disease this year.

This loss shocked us all as she had suffered in silence for far too long. I ran and raised money for BTF to raise much-needed awareness of Graves' Disease and other thyroid-related illnesses. ”
