Volunteer with us

We couldn't exist without our volunteers who offer their time, skills and enthusiasm to make a difference to others living with thyroid disease. There are many ways you can get involved with our work:

Become a BTF trustee

Will you help us shape our future by joining us a trustee? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are committed to making a difference to our work.

We welcome applications from people of all professional backgrounds, whether or not they are patients or have experience in the healthcare sector. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people with skills in digital marketing and communications, charity management and fundraising.

Join our patient panel 

By joining our Patient Panel you will be helping us to develop our services around your needs. Your views also help us to represent the patient voice to the medical professionals we work closely with.

We invite our Patient Panel members to participate in a wide range of projects including:

  • Sharing lived experiences for focus groups and patient resources

  •  Representing the patient voice in project working groups

  • Reviewing and commenting on patient resources

Become a telephone contact 

Are you a good listener? Do you like talking to people? We're always in need of volunteer telephone contacts to share their experiences as a thyroid patient with others who may be struggling or wanting more information.
