Research Tell us your research priorities Thank you to everyone who has filled out our survey which has now closed. Your responses letting us know what you would like future thyroid research to address will help shape the future thyroid research agenda. We will be inviting the thyroid community to be involved in drawing up a shortlist of research priorities, based on your survey responses, in the auturmn. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us [email protected] This survey was part of our James Lind Alliance Priority Partnership on Thyroid Disease. You can read below more about who we invited to take part in the survey. Who can take part in our survey? You can take part in this survey if you are aged 16+ years, based in the UK and one or more of the following apply to you: You have been diagnosed with a thyroid condition by a healthcare professional at any time You are a parent, carer or family member of anyone diagnosed with a thyroid condition by a healthcare professional at any time You are a healthcare professional who looks after people with thyroid conditions How long does it take to complete the survey? The survey will take about five to thirty minutes to complete, depending on how much you want to contribute. Every opinion matters and every response counts equally. What isn’t included in our survey? This survey does not cover active treatments for thyroid cancer. Including this would require specialist expertise and resources that unfortunately this project does not have. Our steering group also recognises that thyroid cancer is an area of substantial ongoing research, so this project is focused on areas where there is greater uncertainty. Can I respond in a different way? If you would like a paper and/or large print copy, or need assistance with answering this survey, please contact: [email protected] or 01423 810093 How long was the survey open for?
